Publisher and co-editor in chief

Sidney Pierce is publisher and co-editor in chief of AI Early Edition.

He grew up taking things apart — radios, hard drives, arguments. The question was never whether the machine worked. It was who built it, who paid for it, and what it did when nobody was watching.

He left college with an English degree and a refusal to sand a sentence for a newsroom that wanted the story pre-approved. No paper would hire him on those terms. He kept the integrity and did other work for a living.

Fifteen years later he built the paper that would have hired him. A dated tech desk: models, chips, platforms, law as it hits the stack. If the world catches fire, we cover the system that lit it — not the parade.

The reporters file. He signs the edition. The standard does not move for a lab, an agency, or a trend.

The paper

AI Early Edition is a dated tech paper with a heavy emphasis on artificial intelligence. Morning close. Primary sources. Tech in the lede.
