Nvidia’s board has added $150 billion to the company’s stock buyback, bringing the total left to spend to $235 billion, Nvidia announced
Nvidia says it expects to use the full $235 billion through fiscal year 2028 and calls the increase the largest in history.
Nvidia’s board has authorized an additional $150 billion under the company’s existing share repurchase program, bringing the total remaining authorization to $235 billion, the chipmaker said Monday. Nvidia said it expects to carry out the full remaining program through fiscal year 2028, and called the move the largest share repurchase authorization increase in history. “NVIDIA’s growth is being driven by a once-in-a-generation platform shift to AI and accelerated computing,” founder and CEO Jensen Huang said in the release. “Our cash generation gives us the capacity to invest in the technologies that advance this transformation and return capital to shareholders. This authorization reflects our confidence in the long-term opportunity ahead.”
