Nvidia partners aim to raise over $500 billion for AI
Apollo, BlackRock, KKR and others signed memorandums of understanding, not final deals or a committed fund, Nvidia says.

NVIDIA announced partnerships with Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs, and KKR to build independent compute financing platforms meant to mobilize over $500 billion of third-party capital for AI infrastructure over time, according to an Aug 10, 2026 company newsroom release and a companion blog by CEO Jensen Huang.
The $500 billion-plus figure is not a closed fund and not NVIDIA sales. Huang’s blog states it is “aggregate third-party capital that these platforms are designed to mobilize over time — the capital is not NVIDIA revenue, a single fund or a commitment to a single customer.” The newsroom release says the deals are memorandums of understanding and “remain subject to execution of the final agreements.”
Under the structure NVIDIA describes, the financial firms independently underwrite each opportunity — customer, demand, utilization, cash flow, and residual value — while NVIDIA supplies the AI factory platform. Huang addresses circular-financing concern in the blog: the company frames the initiative as bringing “independent, long-term institutional capital” into AI infrastructure, with investors making independent financing decisions.
NVIDIA may also put its own balance sheet next to a deal. “In some cases,” Huang writes, NVIDIA “may provide a residual-value support mechanism for up to 25% of an opportunity, assessed carefully on a project-by-project basis.” The company calls that support limited and meant to complement independent underwriting, not replace it. The primaries do not define what “an opportunity” measures, where the support sits in a loss waterfall, or whether an aggregate program cap applies.
Stake: NVIDIA customers seeking financed AI-factory capacity; the six named capital partners and their fund investors; rival silicon and cloud financiers if residual-value norms harden around CUDA platforms; NVIDIA shareholders if residual-value support scales on the balance sheet.
What’s next: First final agreements after the MOUs; any named dollar commitment from a partner; first disclosed residual-value support deal and its legal form; whether Q earnings or 8-Ks put numbers on mobilized capital vs. the >$500B design target.
