SpaceX’s Super Intelligence segment brought in $7.6 billion in revenue in the third quarter, up 830% from a year earlier and more than the $5.2 billion from its Starlink-led Connectivity segment, the company said in an earnings release filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday.
Total revenue rose 161% to $14.6 billion, and SpaceX reported net income of $4.4 billion, compared with a net loss of $1.1 billion a year earlier.
Why it matters
The AI business is now SpaceX’s largest by revenue. SpaceX said Super Intelligence growth was driven mainly by new cloud services agreements, its acquisition of Cursor and wider adoption of Grok by businesses and consumers. Cursor, acquired Aug. 14, contributed $608 million in revenue through Sept. 30, the filing said.
The segment posted operating income of $431 million, including $1.2 billion in share-based compensation from the Cursor deal, according to the release.
Who has a stake
SpaceX said it expanded nameplate compute to 1.7 gigawatts as of Sept. 30, up from 1.4 gigawatts at the end of June. Its Connectivity segment still grew, reaching 13.6 million Starlink consumer subscribers, the company said.
What’s next
SpaceX said it agreed Oct. 8 to acquire 800 MHz spectrum licenses for its Starlink Mobile plans, a deal expected to close in the first half of 2027, subject to regulatory approval.
