Devin now bills OpenAI model use to ChatGPT plans
ChatGPT Plus and Pro users can sign in to Devin and draw on their plan’s usage, Cognition says.

Cognition’s AI coding agent Devin now lets users sign in with a ChatGPT account and run OpenAI models on their ChatGPT plan, the company said Tuesday. It works with “an eligible ChatGPT Plus or Pro plan” in Devin Cloud, Devin Desktop and Devin CLI, and on Devin’s Pro, Max and Teams plans, Cognition says. Use in Devin “counts toward the Codex and ChatGPT Work usage already included in your plan,” the post says. Users can let Devin use all of it or “set a lower limit for Devin in your ChatGPT settings.” If users reach that limit, “your sessions keep running on your Devin usage until it resets,” the post says. In Devin Cloud, the ChatGPT plan pays for the OpenAI share of each session, while other models still “draw down from your included Devin quota,” Cognition says. In Devin Desktop and CLI, any GPT model a user picks is billed to the ChatGPT plan. Devin Cloud also offers GPT-6 Sol as a research preview. The post lists no price for the feature.
