Anthropic at the IMF meetings: Anthropic co-founder Jack Clark said Saturday that one of the company’s internal models forecasts AI could, under certain conditions, increase U.S. economic output by almost 50% by 2030, Reuters reported. Clark, speaking at the IMF and World Bank annual meetings in Bangkok, put the model’s figure at $44 trillion, against just over $30 trillion now, and said it “sounds very outlandish, I know,” according to Reuters. The projection is Anthropic’s, not an IMF forecast. Clark said international cooperation is needed to set “unusual and serious rules” for AI and that policymakers have a shrinking window to act, Reuters reported.

Gemini agents beat Minecraft: Four Gemini 4 Argon agents defeated Minecraft’s Ender Dragon in 27 hours and 14 minutes, writing 2,783 programs and dying 605 times, Google DeepMind researchers said in a paper posted Thursday. The agents started in a randomly generated world on Easy difficulty, and researchers did not intervene. The paper describes a single run, which the authors say cannot show how reliably the setup succeeds.

OpenCode keys: OpenCode said Saturday a security breach Friday night “related to a large scale distillation attack” affected 1.4% of users of its OpenCode Console, all of whom had linked outside AI providers. The company said it emailed affected users and that anyone who did not get an email was not affected. The email told users to revoke and replace keys for providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic and Google, The Hacker News reported.
