Mastercard Agent Pay for Machines: Mastercard opened early access Tuesday to Agent Pay for Machines, which it says lets AI agents pay for digital services within budgets that businesses set, according to its announcement. Developers get APIs, tools and documentation to build and test the system, Mastercard said. It builds on x402, an open protocol for online payment requests, and agents pay with signed vouchers that providers can redeem later. Mastercard says it ran pilots with Cloudflare, Coinbase, Base and four other companies. It is early access, not a general launch.

Gemini in Android Auto: Google is rolling out Personal Intelligence for Gemini on Android Auto starting Tuesday, the company said. With a driver’s permission, Gemini can draw on Gmail, Google Calendar, Photos, Maps, YouTube and Search to answer questions such as a flight’s gate. The feature is off until a user turns it on, Google says. It is limited to eligible personal accounts and will reach cars with Google built-in in the coming months.
