Amazon Seller Central opens to Claude agents in U.S. beta

Amazon upgraded Seller Assistant into an always-on agentic partner and shipped a selling partner plugin that pulls Seller Central intelligence into Amazon Quick and, in U.S. beta, Anthropic’s Claude. Sellers can automate routine ops inside Seller Central and act on Amazon data from the AI tools they already use — with seller-set guardrails, human approval on actions, and audit trails (company framing).

What shipped:

• Persistent memory of pricing patterns, inventory cycles, growth goals — follows the seller across Seller Central, Quick, and Claude.
• Workflows: plain-language automations that monitor and act 24/7 when the seller is offline (restock, competitive pricing, account-health alerts, rating drops). Prebuilt templates or custom; sellers choose recommend-only vs act-with-approval.
• Canvas: conversational visual workspace for pricing scenarios, campaign diagnosis on live data.
• Plugin: listing contributions, live performance, inventory, sales analytics into Quick/Claude; agent can act on the Amazon business the way Seller Assistant does inside Seller Central — not read-only export.

Where / when: Plugin beta for U.S. store sellers now; international later. More third-party AI tools “over time.” Free 12-month Quick Plus for every primary account holder globally (sign-up through Dec 31, 2026); primary can designate two co-workers for the same free year.

Stack: Seller Assistant on Amazon Bedrock with Anthropic Claude models; Amazon says seller data stays in Amazon infrastructure for the in-house assistant. Built with AWS / Anthropic collaboration language in the post.

Who for: Active Amazon sellers (SMB to mid) who already live in Claude or want Quick as a cross-business agent — pricing, listings, restock, ads. Replaces “paste Seller Central screenshots into ChatGPT” with a gated plugin loop.

Risks: Agentic price/listing changes can go wrong fast if guardrails are loose. Amazon-selected adoption and acceptance rates. Beta scope is U.S.-first. Promo Quick Plus ends after a year — watch renewal.
