Google made Gemini 4 Argon, its newest frontier model, globally available Tuesday, Koray Kavukcuoglu, senior vice president at Google DeepMind and Google’s chief AI architect, said in a blog post.

Who gets it: Developers and enterprises can use Argon through the Gemini API in AI Studio and the Gemini platform. Google AI Ultra subscribers get it in Google Antigravity, and Ultra and Pro subscribers get it in the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search, Google said.

What it costs: The introductory API price is $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, with cached input tokens 95% off. After the introductory period ends Nov. 30, the price rises to $4 per million input tokens and $20 per million output tokens, according to the post.

How it performs: Google says Argon ranks first on the Vals Index, which measures performance on work in areas such as finance, coding, legal and tax. Google says the model excels at deep work in complex, real-world tasks across domains including coding, finance, legal, cybersecurity and science. Google also says that in its own internal use, “Argon in Antigravity has helped teams increase agentic code submissions by more than 35% while reducing code rollbacks by nearly a third.”

For security teams: Google said it is beginning to expand Argon to hundreds of additional Fairwind Program partners.

What’s next: Google says it is looking forward to bringing the rest of the Gemini 4 family.
