Trump names Jay Clayton to lead AI Super Intelligence Force
OpenAI is in talks for a $30 billion round, Bloomberg News reported, and Meta and Microsoft are cutting internal Claude use, The Information said.

Super Intelligence Force: President Donald Trump said Sunday on Truth Social that Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton, FTC Chairman Andrew Ferguson, Pentagon research and engineering chief Emil Michael and Office of Personnel Management Director Scott Kupor will lead the force and report to him and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles. The move follows a voluntary safety accord that AI company leaders signed at the White House on Sept. 29, CBS News reported.
OpenAI funding: OpenAI is in talks with United Arab Emirates investment funds, including Abu Dhabi-based MGX, to help anchor a $30 billion funding round, Bloomberg News reported Monday, citing people familiar with the matter. BlackRock is also in discussions to join, Bloomberg said. The UAE funds have discussed investing as much as $10 billion combined, one person told Bloomberg. The talks are ongoing and details could change, Bloomberg said. OpenAI has not confirmed the talks. OpenAI and BlackRock declined to comment to Bloomberg.
Anthropic’s Claude: Meta and Microsoft are cutting internal use of Claude, The Information reported. Microsoft has cut internal Claude spending, which it had projected at $1 billion or more this year, by about a third, according to the outlet. Meta’s Claude Code users fell to about 30,000 from about 60,000, partly because of layoffs. Both companies are steering employees to in-house tools such as Microsoft’s GitHub Copilot and Meta’s MetaCode, The Information said.
